Beach

Beach

A Poem by Isaac Canton

Your soul is like a summer wind;
Easy and light, subtly sweet,
And moves through my heart like a snowstorm.
I am no answer to you, but your eyes say things beyond me;
They seem to ache with a magnificence
Like the ocean by which you stand, when I think of you.
You surpass me with one look, and I am but a shadow,
Un-living and un-feeling,
While you are the sea.
