Hurricane

Hurricane

A Poem by babygirl hernandez

Hurricanes start softly

It treats the land like an animal

Stalking it's prey

First it gives a small growl

But then it is loud and harsh

It makes people want to run and hide

In the air it screams and cries

No one can understand its tearful cries

When it stops everything is quiet

All that it leaves is destruction

And the pain and sorrow its given

To its prey

The one that never got away

very well writen my friend. I was in side of a tornado when I was around 8 years old, and let me say you have done a fine example of the terror from this, natures beast. thanks you for posting and keep writing I enjoy it very much.

You've expressed this very poetically. I've never personally see the destruction of a hurricane during its reign of terror, but this poem definitely brings that feeling alive.

I feel it growing as the poem progresses. Nice effect.

Thanks.
