My first friend
In a new world
You helped me to get through
I would have failed
Or lost all hope
Had it not been for you
As life transposed
My world darkened
I was cast into a pit of dispair
Being left with nothing
But a desolate heart
Far beyond repair
I descried a boy
Kind and gallant
Chilverous in every possible way
A friendly face
To quell my fears
More benevolent than I can say
Amoungst the darkness
A star burned brightly
Much too good to be true
What I thought was a dream
Was really a miracle
For that star was none other than you
