And another day comes...

And another day comes...

A Poem by Jack...
"

Always on my mind, wish you were in my arms.

"

And another day comes

The sun on my shoulder, I navigate the dust,

fielded dreams and questions form

through tree lines of watchful eyes and branched desires

My heart it begs for but that one word, one thought

and another day comes…

Beige of fresh plowed and harvested journeys,

baled like hay on a circular wasteland,

lost behind barbed wire fences fallen in disrepair…

beauty comes from the most unlikely of places

For my eyes see, like a focused camera lens finds,

destinies I long to travel, footpaths of winding wishes,

straight lines in old dirt, new to this sun now unearthed

left open for discovery in geometric shapes

Yes, what I see, this landscape of hope and future realms

is not what rests, baking in this sun before me,

but what appears when my eyes are closed and my mind wanders

to the beauty that is you

When we see that the day is yet done, there is always time if we choose to use it. The beauty lies in possibility as much as memory, and can be much more exciting as well. I like this one Jack, even if I missed the mark, I was just giving an honest reaction to the words.

Thank you so much my friend.
Here you are again, with the excellent choice of words defining the nature so well. Appropriate paradox, you have a distinction in that area!

You love life and all that it encompasses...that much is always obvious in your poetry. The imagery is rich, the words carefully chosen. So much hope in this one....uplifting thoughts for the future. Truly a pleasure to read. Lydi**

Again, my Jackomantic - You're writes always have me sitting here staring at the screen wondering what I can say. I don't want to keep saying the same thing over and over again, in case you get bored. Ha. On saying that, I loved the wording and imagery. The way you write with such passion and honesty is great. Writing how you feel and posting it for us all to see can sometimes be nerve racking, depending on what you write. But you're so loving and such a friendly guy, I love when you publish!

"beauty comes from the most unlikely of places"...rare beauty is sometimes more attractive, Jack...but as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Love also comes from the most unlikely places...
A wonderful poem. Great!
