The Sunshine And The Wind

The Sunshine And The Wind

A Poem by Ferghul Desmond

The sunshine and the wind,
You know,
To me they're
Everything.

You don't even see the day
Or feel the warmth of the
Sun ray.

You won't ever let the breeze
Take you from your gravity.

I feel the sunshine and the wind,
Leading me towards God again.

You sweat inside your collar now,
Sniff
And think, "I'm coming down
With a cold from this
Blasted breeze".

And then of course, you sneeze.

And when I miss
The sunshine and the wind,
Because
Hidden by a cloud again,
The sun seems to have gone away,
And the breeze
Is still
Sometimes each day,

You look at me like
I'm daft,
To hate the shade
And lack of
Draft.

The Sunshine and the wind,
To you they're just environment,
And scantly
Worth consideration,
But I recognize their
Great import
Upon the meadow and the court,
And lounge in
Flippant
Admiration.
