Even if summer has just begun, I can't help but feel like this is going to go down in history

 

Summertime

 

This summer, right now

Nothing more, nothing less

Freedom is filling my spirit

We’ve paid our school time dues

Now sweet liberty is ours

 

This summer, unexpected

Endings mean new beginnings

Longer days, even longer nights

That just means more time

For us to come alive

 

This summer, enticing and exciting

Nothing to do, sleeping in

But everything to see

Beach bonfires and sunsets

Painted on the sea’s surface

 

This summer, you and I

Hand in Hand, Smiles all around

My head on your shoulders

Looking up into the night sky

Feeling a feeling unknown

 

This summer let the times fly

This high that’s unbelievable

Everything’s wrong but so right

Somehow things are all right

Even if it’s just for tonight

 

This summer, nothing will ever compare

Never will it be matched

Never will it be forgotten

But now we can always remember

All these memories shared

Summertime indeed! I think all summers are epic in a way...even if your summer was hanging in your mother's basement playing video games and watching I Love Lucy reruns! Summer is special. Of course, our summers are spent having wonderful adventures and making unforgettable memories, as you said. I really loved this, not only because it was good, but because it brought up old summer memories. It sucks that you and I have never spent a summer together, but we manage anyway, don't we bestie? I think your first stanza summed it all up:

"This summer, right now
