Lost love ...........................................

 

Heartache

 

Beside you ---- I felt stronger

I graced the world with pride,

Then you left --- and I’m alone

Now I’m crumpled up --- inside.

Pain burns behind my eyes

Tears --- as yet – unshed

Loneliness -- my future

And I feel the endless dread.

 

I learn again to face the world

Putting on a cheerful face

But cheery smile can not disguise

And ---- pain ---- not be erased.

My heart cries out, ---- I need once more

To see your darling face

Alone – I wait ---alone I weep

Of -- you --- there is no trace.

 

My empty arms are aching

With the need to hold you near

Pain wracked – my heart is breaking

And my mind is filled with fear.

Heartache--- my constant shadow

It follows me --- day and night,

Loneliness -----my companion.

And I’ve lost --- the will --- to fight.
