Veil in the Breeze

Veil in the Breeze

A Poem by Jay M. Jones

Veil in the Breeze

There exists a veil of silence that covers the eyes of the weak,
but lifted swiftly off the eyes of those who seek,
as we stumble through time, with a hole in our chest,
and the preist mutters prayers with his hand up your dress,
and the power hungry hordes all step over one another,
and you cant tell the difference between enemy or lover,
and the ones with just f**k the ones that live without
and the ones with it all simply refuse to shout,
and the fight just continues til' theres no one left to fight,
just the black veil floating in the breeze of the night..

-- and the fight just continues til' theres no one left to fight,
-- just the black veil floating in the breeze of the night..
over a soil now colored in crimson by the blood of greed and insanity ...

You painted a perfect picture of nowadays society in this marvelous write!
Great job!
