Midnight

Midnight

A Poem by butterfly

Midnight is the hour where we come alive
Both the spirits and earthlings to the surface in the same tide
Midnight opens the gate and it never helps to hide
Yet I know you are a phantom haunting me at night
I fall asleep cause without you there is no point to keep awake
I wait and its just one big mistake
He just wants my body
I just want to hold him close to me
Yet the signs never fade
He just wants to bite my neck so deep
Doesn't care about the drops of blood that bleed
Insatiable hunger that drives the plays with me
I cut myself free
I tell myself again
Its just physical in the end
He only communicates at night
Midnight is the hour where we come alive
Even when I am dead asleep in my bed
He is the monster haunting me yet its not a dream in my head
I wake to his text
I miss you baby just want to say good night
I hope you are alright
Its that twilight hour that brings even the dead alive
Both the spirits and earthlings in the same tide
It does no good to hide
When the clock strikes midnight
