38

38

A Poem by butterfly

We would make each others cake
just an angelfood cake with ice cream
it was just him and me now our lovely tale fades away
38 comes in the midnight blue sky
i guess its better with the new girl tonight
my mate has gone away. the new one calls and texts when he just wants to play.
no one else wants me for the real way. no one to hold me tight.
no guy to look in my eye. just my dogs sleeping in their rooms.
my mom and aunt is all there are. no soul mate to keep me company as i sit writing in the dark.
the game of men and women have become so silly.
nothing makes sense
to feel true love i have to put on something disney
In this world all just feels pretense
unless its my mom, aunt or dogs
there has to be some man who can love me strong
i dont complain i see the colors in the wind
i see the light from the stars
oh 38 what are you doing here?
its just so soon dear
the number is so big it complicates
yet still so small its still delicate
everything feels new
The angels whisper the Lord still has one more year of life for you
She is the lucky one
so 38 bring my soul mate there is still time for love all along
there is still time to right the wrong
to sing more songs
write more poems
dance under stars
find a way to get in his heart
yet 38 when the man just want to play
there is not much to do to make him stay
its 12:04 am my heart beats a new again
Life flows through my vain
the stars look shinier as we reach this birth lap of 38.
