The Simple Words

The Simple Words

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Never know when a phrase will catch.

Simple words bypass others,
  but plant seeds.

Mind is a fertile ground.

Hope the flowers take root.

Hate to see the weeds take over.

mind the expansion joints, those weeds love to pop up between the cracks! :) Your poetry remind me of two others here of so few words but what they say and the way they say them could have a universe inside them, Diego Paz and Emily Burns, if you are not familiar with them, I think you'd like ;)

'Mind is a fertile ground.'

i liked the simplicity of this, minds need to be fed and watered much like flowers, fresh challenges inspire and take us in new directions and we definitely need those challenges. fantastic.
