Dylan and Dylan

Dylan and Dylan

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Time for a cheerful write. You find what you can to create a smile.

"
I am jealous of my two year old grand-niece.
First,
I am still uncomfortable with my niece having a child,
and I don't care if she is thirty.
It is the principle of the matter.
Now,
to top it off both of them went to see Bob Dylan.
I have missed seeing one of his shows,
 for various reasons,
   since I was seventeen.
I missed the one in West Germany.
He had Joan Baez, and Carlos Santana opening.
Then,
it was the time he toured with Tom Petty.
     I had to flipping work!
Various venues,
  and it never has worked.
Jealousy besides,
you have to love the connection.
"Dylan your first concert was Dylan."

this is so great...my old girlfriend from Germany has seen dylan about every time he has been there.

probably saw this concert too..

i am going to ask her.

also...the title made me think Bob Dylan and Dylan Thomas...and that lyric of paul simon's...

"when you say Dylan, he thinks you're talking about Dylan Thomas, whoever he was, the man ain't got no culture...but it's alright ma, everybody must get stoned"

cool write., nostalgia brought to mind---
