Time Zones

Time Zones

A Poem by Jon Roggie

We are writing in a constant cycle.
Our stories fall in patterns.
This is not always determined by our style,
but more by where we live.
I am not talking meaning,
 more when.
Stories are shared,
and honestly it throws you off.
Comment made when you are half asleep.
Some would be annoyed,
and at the moment I admit it.
Now,
 the momentary annoyance,
it does not match the feeling.
the feeling of someone on the other side of the planet,
     connecting with a few words,
and even if someone wants to give you a sack full.
Global system.
I get to do the same thing.
Some of us just want to listen to music,'
  and eat great food.
For those who don't get that....

We are blessed in so many ways and take so many things for granted, a simple delicious meal, a winsome melody, a glass of wine, treasures to some who do not have such things, so oft unappreciated this finery in the mundane.

Interesting filling in our meals of words. A lot to be thought about; even more to be taken for granted!

Many never think about what they have, only what they want. I will now step down from my box.
