We sit around the fire

We sit around the fire

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Each of us watches the coals.
Occasionally talking to another,
 voices kept low.
Hesitant glances shared.
Wanting to converse,
 but afraid.
Who wants to hear my words?
Why should I share?
Meanwhile,
 the fire burns.
The fire burns.
It is lit by our creativity.
Burning with our attempts.
Ideas or ideals,
 it really doesn't matter.
Let the fire burn.

You create a nice place. I liked the quiet nights with a fire burning and friend sitting near. Thank you Jon for sharing the amazing poetry.

Easiest place to tell a story. Words slowly fade, matching the coals.

Yes you are right my friend.
sometimes the poems are unwritten and unsaid, yet they are still felt...poets feel what others want to express, even when they don't express...
