Fern bush walk

Fern bush walk

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

Taken on my holiday had a lovely rainforest walk

"
Winding trails
Ferns so green
Take you to this heart
Of mine
Ragged breath
Sighing dreams
Swift feet
Making progress
Here I wait for you
On waterfall edge

You climb that hill
You stop to take
A picture here and there
We finally meet
Under canopy of ferns
The midday sun
It won't get through
Just flickers of gold
On fern mossy Growth

We sit on ledge
Drink our water there
It's time to go
Back to reality now
To the throws of life
The car the traffic noise

We will return one day
To that special quiet place
Our bushwalk in Ferny
Gully there
On our holiday
Our memories of a special quiet place there
Oh Ferny walk stay safe for us there
