gypsy moonA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)fantasy poemsome nights you will see her run to flight run to her eternal heavenly light there she sits alone on cliff the waves do swell below in thunderous waves of might she sits so still waits for the clouds to disappear and takes off all her earthly gear the midnight moon it shines so bright on this sweet angel of the night after dancing to her moon up there she puts back on her earthly wares her hair so matted in swirly curls she puts on her adorning pearls in each ear she pushes through the turquoise blue the gentle hue twas yesterday he saw her here he passed by once and now hes here to gaze at this unearthly creature that God has made she looks behind to see if she leaves a remnant there of anything to show in dawns new light she passes by him in the bush she knew he watches her with his smoking light she runs past him in a whirl he tips his head his smoke it curls till tomorrow night she thinks he'll wait all night for her she knows she wont come back his moon will be black shell go somewhere else in her gypsy van to some far off forgotten land she needs no man to study her just God and moon and tides that swell so now she must find some far off new hill and to that end she must surely dwell
