all this

pondering on life and its end and beginnings

all this

all this will end

one day in the future

this house

this room

this couch

this bed

this cup

this dog

this carpet

this tv

this phone

this computer

and me

will be dust

all that will be left

is our soul

our writing

will live on

in cyber space

for some future child to read

and forget

till his world ends as well

oh well

ill keep writing just the same

I like the idea of this - or rather a tangential idea that seems linked to this. I read once that a black hole can destroy anything, even light but when information is encountered at the singularity some of it may 'leak' out.
Perhaps that idea means that things we create electronically can survive.
I agree with Alan of the hat-hair - a thoughtful piece of poetry.

What you've written is obvious, the one certainty, but somehow we can't take it in. Sometimes I feel that this WC is cyberspace and I don't know what's and who is real.
By the way, that is not my real hair!
