Mother Nature- Father Time

Mother Nature- Father Time

A Poem by Ice QueenJen
"

A tribute to the land & the Native's who lived here long before the white man came and began years of destruction.

"

My poor dear children

if you'd listen to me, Mother Nature

and heeded the words of Father Time

we'd be living in a Paradise

all of the time

You hated the Queen

set out to sail for a better place

“ Land Ho” said Seaman Amerigo!

Yet you came to this land

began to pillage & plunder

pushing us Native American's asunder

This land is ours!” you then said

Home of the free, and not the brave

for us to have, but we shall share

we give to you this land over there

WE” set the rules- so here are your borders

so each tribe has a designated order

We query, “ Is your life good?”

you have your space

to plant your corn

don't make that face

or shed any tears

we tried our best

to see you through, but

You were right, and

we did wrong

in time you'll see

we'll make it good

again listening to Mother Nature

and heeding Father Time

being of peace and harmony

Well bring back their land

just like it was before

So in time our Father

and Mother Nature

will be joined as one!

You told a good story. I hope we learn to live in peace with nature. If we keep cutting down tree and polluting our water. Mother nature may pay a trick on us and make us pay for her abuse. I like the poem. Short and with a good story.
