War in Life

 

There is too much war in the world.

There is too much horror in this sick and twisted world. 

People crying, people dying everywhere I see.

Everyone is a solider in this spiritual war…including me.

 

Disasters are happening each and every day.

They come in all kinds of ways...it’s sad to see that the world is this way.

War is everywhere I see.

At home, work, school, within me.

 

Everyone in this world will get hurt, sad, lost, it happens it’s a part of life.

But sadly some people can’t handle it so they give up on life.

I’ve personally have been wounded emotionally, spiritual and physically in my life.

And I have been close to take my own life.

 

I don’t mean to sound depressing but this is all sad but true.

But if I can continue to fight this spiritual war…so can you.

This certainly packs a punch with a serious dose of reality. Such a sad indictment on our society when death is the only option available to far too many lives. It's a dark place to be and that so-called "light at the end of tunnel is often invisible. I'm thankful that you didn't because now you can put that experience to good use to inspire others who feel they have no way out. That final line offers hope and inspiration. Great poem. Justine
