a poem comparing humans to wolves

Humans,

What curious creatures,

They claim to be so civil, 

So much better,

But they are only like wolves.

Funny, 

what path a human takes,

what packs they will make,

always competing to be alpha.

Or perhaps they should take the path of the lone wolf,

wandering the streets, alone.

So funny are these humans,

thinking they are all alone, 

thinking no one is ever watching.

Humans think they can do as they please,

They think that they are better than the animals,

Funny, humans are just like wolves.

Humans do not see how funny they are,

acting as wolves,

paths to choose,

packs to choose,

or the path of the lone wolf.

So which is it silly human,

Dare you life under the authority of the pack,

Or will you be a lone wolf, 

subject to the cruelness of solitude?

The choice is yours,

choose well little human.

Humans do have a tendency to be pack animals. I consider them more like sheep kind of stupid. so you give us much credit.

awesome. i never really thought about humans as wolves, but i can clearly see where you are coming from here. we choose our own cliques (packs) and we fight for our leaders, and some of us even choose to be loners. very clever. i liked that the whole poem you are speaking as if you aren't human, because it really added to the power of the poem. great write!
