On the tip of my tongue

On the tip of my tongue

A Poem by Kelly

I open my mouth
But the words are stuck in my throat
I take a breath and think Just say it!
But doubts and questions cloud my mind
Whatever.  Who cares what they think?
But I do
Funny or stupid. It could go either way
But probably stupid
I hesitate, falter, swallow, and open my         mouth
But the moment has passed
And I sit
In silence

You spelled "tongue" wrong.

Beyond that, this was an interesting write in that it covers the internal dialogue during the slow-motion moment described in the piece. Between the inhale and the exhale, so to speak.

Nice job.
