Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by kensiefaith

We met and I instantly started to fall
I tried so hard to break your spell
I pushed you back and fought so hard
Yet you still came right through my wall
I tried to stay unattached,
But you would have none of that
You were the first and you'll be the last
To break through my wall like that
I played no part in letting you in
Chemistry controlled all that
If I had, had my way we would have never been
Still I am glad you prevailed
For you and me are destiny
You and only you can make me whole

Though as I tried you can't stop fate
What's meant to be will find a way

I think we all have that thing or that person that we try to avoid or stay clear of but it has a very strong appeal. Your style is very good and I like it a lot. Keep writing!

Cool! You're poems are like scenes from a movie! This one is the flash back and the course that is now walked. The last two lines I like, for they take us away from the story for a moment and give us a moment to ponder life the universe and everything in a grander scale. So true... what is meant to be will be.

Keep writing!
