Rainbows and Rain

It rained tonight...
And it reminded me of all the tears
I have cried
The tears of rejection, pain, loss, depression, regret, and heartbreak
It reminded me of all the tears I cried when I was little
Because I didn't know why my Mom left my Dad
The rain reminds me of those girls in 4th grade
That would lock me in the bathroom and turn out the lights...
Just to see me cry
It reminds me of that boy that told me
I would never be loved
It reminds me of my hero
That crushed my dreams
It reminds me of those girls that told me
I should die
It brings me back to those times
But I turned out fine...
Because rainbows come from rain
And happiness comes after pain
