How heartbreak turned me into an alcoholic.

A shot of vodka for every lie you told me

A shot of whiskey for every time you broke me

A bottle of beer for the times I miss you holding me

A bottle of red sangria for all the times you provoked me

A broken bottle for broken promises

A broken bottle for broken people

A bottle to drown my sorrows.

Well written indeed. But a time for healing free from this feeling of a need? Perhaps seeing past the disappointment? To those good memories, thus creating, manifesting, the next, better relationship. The one coming to all who feel this way?

You tell of a sad story that is all too common. Using alcohol as a go to has plagued many and they've suffered for it. I had friends that died from it. Love hurts and scars.
