One

 

Lovers are linked

Like paper chains in the wind

You and I

Flying past, the green and blue,

Of heaven and earth

Blending together as we move

Blowing whichever way fate leads us

 

My eyes see you

Through the darkness

Our fingers touch

Holding close to our feelings,

For one another

Gently, swaying

Together, hand in hand

Towards the sky

 

Where light can find us

Where the sun can embrace our fragile skin

Your face illuminated at its edges

So soft

Should I dare to touch?

My emotions compel me

So delicate, yet so strong

The darkness escapes behind us

Billowing into the shadows of night

 

You glide, with me

We feel freedom

Our spirits levitated

Above our mortal bodies

Destined to float together

Eternally

As one

Wow. That' basically all I can say about this.

You know, you are the first guy, my age, that I met who can write poetry so well. Or even be interested in poetry at all. Amazing. Lol.

Ok, reading this, I'm shaking in my clothes (I would say boots, but I'm not wearing them and not planning to until the snow comes). The emotion in this is very powerful, I must say. Nice work!
