Always-Zesty

Always-Zesty

A Poem by Danielle Duff
"

The alphabet has so many stories to tell, if only we would listen.

"

Always available, yet always abandoned and always

believing, but

cautiously caring.

Destruction, and disillusioned dreams are

everywhere, ever ending.

Friends or faltering foes are now

going, gone.

How has he hurt and hindered her?

Inventing ideals with impracticality, inveigle insanity. Instead,

joyfully joking, a

knight-knowingly

let loose love.

Mesmerizing memories merely misplaced in his mind.

No! Not now!

Oh, oh!

PLEASE, pray!

Quietly, not! Question not

reckless reality!

Sober stance, stunning silence. Shhh, secrets shared and someone shunned.Story-

telling time.

Understand uncertainty unknowingly, unless unable.  I am useless,

vulnerable, and

weak from wanting.

XX met XY.

Young, yearnings for you. Yes!  Yours for me?

Zero. Zero?

EXACTLY! It made me giddy, so fun and challenging, and so I wanted to share it.... and it's one of the best I've read so far... Good luck indeed in the ABC Creativity contest. My fave lines: "Destruction, and disillusioned dreams are

everywhere, ever ending.

Friends or faltering foes are now

going, gone.

How has he hurt and hindered her?"
Such a tale you told in this manner. Awesome work!

Wow, Dannie I completely love this piece! In your note, you said it was just an exercise but even so you still managed to infuse the words with meaning and feeling. And I am always a sucker for alliteration. Awesome work and I can't wait to read more of your stuff.
