Foreign language

Foreign language

A Poem by Linda alexander

It was my native tongue in every sense
I was expert in it's complex grammar even
When did my mother tongue became foreign
It is stressful now I have to learn it like a toddler

Language is language only physique claims few decades
What must burn should be the ambers of died spirit
Yes for a new fire and for a new smoke
It should stand high until you die may be after even

i think this not only deals with losing our native language, but also losing ourselves in what we become to please others---the more we give, the more we lose pieces of who we are...
it's a sacrifice, but an unselfish one.
