Chasing Feathers

A descending feather,

a whisper in the chaos

of a canyon;

eluding my fingers

and my grasp.

I knew I couldn't have you,

and yet,

still I sorrowed,

as you fell

into the arms

of another.

And so,
I shed his blood:

then,

I trapped you

within my palm,

for eternity.
