Sons and Daughters

Sons and Daughters

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

from dead mothers and fathers

"
borne to live until we die,
we all share that quality

we learn to crawl until we walk,
until we cannot anymore

then we live on, until we die
where no one walks

where no one crawls
where no one breaths

not anymore. . .

after we love until we can't
when there's nothing left, anymore

but those borne to live,
far beyond our death

. . . what we leave behind, to bring before
what was not yet there, before
   (what we adore)

those things that we do die for,
our sons, our daughters

to share that quality
until no one can, anymore
