positive opposites

sweet to the sour

to taste the sweet

you must know the sour

there is nothing positive
without its opposite 

and you will not eat

without the killing

as you must see death

to know what life is

so we all must lose

to know what's winning

because we cannot live
without that consequence

as there exists the bad

to know what good is

for this life is sweet
because death is sour

     and we are alive

  because someone died

because that's what life is

    and you cannot hide

     at least,

                not from that

no,

    not from this

Opposites. How I agree, you can't appreciate total joy until you have hit despair, you can't appreciate living until you have witnessed dying. You don't appreciate the goodness in people unless you have seen evil. All this makes much sense to me. A good composition here David.

I see so many fragile people all around. Trying to get an ego boost by hooking up and leading people on. I see the fragility of real relationships which get shattered with the lure of the slightest thrill of the forbidden- say even the juvenile online relationships. Where do promises to be loyal and lovers for life go then?

Stop living online. Embrace real life face to face. You will find that most people are decent on the inside... even your "enemies". But if you always expect otherwise beforehand you will never have a chance. You get to choose your own reality, you get to decide what makes you feel good. You can choose to see only the bad, or you can choose to look for the good. Very few people are completely evil.
