Is It Anything At All, In The End

how can you break into pieces

something already broken

can you dream of a nightmare

awake but unconscious

i am so tired of sleep

can you see who you are

 in the dark

if you close your eyes tight

        in the light

what do you see

when you look toward the end

what can you see

and what does it sound like

 after you die

is it cold

is it hot

is it loud

is it quiet

is it fixed

do we float

   were we broken

were we nothing

did it matter

why does it still feel 

so much like it never ends

after i've seen so many ends

why does it still feel

like i've seen not a god damn thing

   not one

is it dying

being born

is it beginning

to find your ending
