I see stars smile as they dance around the moon
Within the quiet of the here and now
I feel an unusual sense of ease

In the darkness I feel you
You wrap your arms around me
You whisper in my ear
"Hello", with a smile in your voice
Underneath the evening sky

In the darkness I smell you
Your scent is intoxicating
It engulfs my senses
Until I'm left overwhelmed by your presence

In the darkness I see your light
Your smile illuminates the shadows within me
The brightness is a comfort
I've never known anything so beautiful

In the darkness I hear your words
The sweet sound of tranquility
They escape your lips with silent force
And I know that I will never be the same

You brought out, within me
Something new and something fierce
You showed me something different
That can never be misplaced

In the darkness I hear you speak
Your voice is further this time
"I wish I could have loved you"
And the tears are like fire against my skin

Beneath the night sky, I feel the earth tremble
My sadness is evident as I fall to my knees
The loss of you is more then real
And the presence of you is insincere

Before the ending I was thinking this was a happy, joyful poem, until the last two stanzas. In fact, all that you wrote before the last two stanzas just make the poem all the more sadder. Was this a personal experience you transcribed? If so, you were very brave to do so. If not, you really tapped into what a personal would feel by losing their heart's love. Well done.
