Well Spun Web

Well Spun Web

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

What a tricky little spider you are

What an admirable little web you've spun

No one can see through your beautiful art

Your... facade, if you will

That web is but a hiding place

The place you escape from what chaos you've unleashed

Tell me, little spider

Are you proud of your little web

Do you stare at the butterfly you've tricked into it

Have you conversed with your friends and laughed at her

Telling them of your web and the beauty it had attracted

You pathetic little spider

You arogant lier

She was oh so innocent

Oh so gullable

But you played the game well and she has lost

Well spun web, little spider

Well spun

Who was gullible? Who was your beautifully innocent butterfly? I'd really like to know.

my curiosity has me wondering are you the spider or the butterfly? i like what you wrote. it was beautifully written. One suggestion though, pay attention to your spelling, unless of course you mean to misspell... which if that is the case then sorry for mentioning it.

this is a beautiful poem, and i can't help but think that somehow you envy the spider, that you yourself wish that you could hide so beautifully.

great job! its hard to believe that one so young can write so well, i can't wait to read more of your work
