The Circle is Complete

The Circle is Complete

A Story by Miles W.

The Final Chapter of the Hope arc of Throw it All Away

Number I sat in the main chair of the chamber of the Organization of Rage.  Number VII appeared once again in his usual chair.
"So, it would seem that Miles told Roxas the Truth."
"There is no need to call her that any more my friend.  We can call her by her real name."
"I guess so.  Are you sure that Miles has taken all the right steps with what has happened with Faith?"
"I believe so.  He was patient, and waited to see if the path would emerge before the end of the year.  And through this, he was able to face the greatest of his fears.  And it would seem that the path hasn't emerged yet."
"Faith revealed to Miles that she is still trying to rebuild that part of her heart, and that even if the path had already emerged, she wouldn't wish to share it with him."
"Did she say it that bluntly?"
"No.  She was hesitant to say what was in her heart since she wished no ill to befall Miles.  So Miles had to ask her to tell him what was in her heart.  She did, he accepted it.  The circle is now complete.  When he entered he was but the learner.  Now he understands a bit more."
"Only a learner of being a fool."
"Explain Number VII."
"Did he honestly expect anything to change?  Did he honestly think that she would wish to share the path with a fool like him?!"
"No.  No he did not.  He just thought that this would mean that he could leave High School with no regrets.  Not like he did back with Jessica in middle school."
"We both know Jessica was friend-zoned due to Middle School emotions a long time ago."
"That may be so, however, considering how long Miles has cared about her in this state, it is only right to knock on the door one last time, and see if it is open.  And now he knows, the door is still closed, and will never be open to him."  Number VII looked down.  Number I didn't need to be close to him to tell that he was crying.
"I understand my friend.  After all, we are a part of his mind, so what he experiences in the real world, we experience here in our own separate worlds.  But in truth, they both ended it with a smile, and at an understanding.  Miles has come a long way from the Nativity of Doom.  Now, on the Day of Truth, the circle is complete.  It is time to look forward."  Number I vanished from the room.  Number VII looked around the empty room.  This was a place of Miles' mind where his different parts gathered.  It has been a part of his mind since seventh grade.  It doesn't die.  It never has, and it probably never will.  No matter who he cares about, this room will always exist.

Don't compromise.  Compromise is the language of evil.  Run in Gods name.  And let the world stand back and in wonder.  J.D. Liddell, Chariots of Fire.

You came to see a race today. To see someone win. It happened to be me. But I want you to do more than just watch a race. I want you to take part in it. I want to compare faith to running in a race. It's hard. It requires concentration of will, energy of soul. You experience elation when the winner breaks the tape - especially if you've got a bet on it. But how long does that last? You go home. Maybe you're dinner's burnt. Maybe you haven't got a job. So who am I to say, "Believe, have faith," in the face of life's realities? I would like to give you something more permanent, but I can only point the way. I have no formula for winning the race. Everyone runs in her own way, or his own way. And where does the power come from, to see the race to its end? From within. Jesus said, "Behold, the Kingdom of God is within you. If with all your hearts, you truly seek me, you shall ever surely find me." If you commit yourself to the love of Christ, then that is how you run a straight race.  Eric Liddell: Chariots of Fire.

Rascal Flatts - Bless the Broken Road Lyrics
Album: Track 2 on Feels Like Today

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through

I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
That every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms

This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Yes it did

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
And others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know it's true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

And now I'm rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
Ooh, ooh
That led me straight to you
