Lord, I Pray...

Lord, I Pray...

A Poem by M. C. Pehrson

Make of our homes a place

Where Your love dwells;

Through patient ways may

Angry thoughts dispel.

Remove the sin that binds

Our foolish hearts,

Heal hurtful wounds that

Careless tongues impart.

Let bitter words make way

For cordial acts,

Change lies that harm to

Naught but kindly facts.

May your good grace descend

And soothe our pain,

End every conflict

So that calm remains.

It is by loving that

We come to know

The gracious gift of peace

That you bestow.
