Demon

Demon

A Poem by MKD
"

For a contest. Close your eyes, point to a word in a book, write about it.

"

Harsh words whispered in ears

Trying to close

Trying to hear no evil(doer)

Pain - inflicting the inflictor

With a force so mighty

Take it with a grain

Of salt, my dear

An open wound, my dear

Whispering temptation in my ear

Sensations make hair stand still

A whisper only hurt us here

She was supposed to say

She's sorry, so I hear

Whispered the right words

In your ear, my dear

Who could blame her?

Such a voice that I can hear

Whispering words - I should fear

A Demon lurking, memories

Who could blame her?

My dear.

My memory has always been my biggest demon. Couldn't you agree?

About
I'll admit it, I cannot for the life of me write on cue. It just comes to me when it wants to, and doesn't when I want it to. Go figure. In between sudden urges to write, I dance, a lot, listen to som.. more..
