Story from the Dead

Story from the Dead

A Poem by Megan Lynn

Close the lid
I didn't want to be seen like this
My skin white as fresh snow
My eyes vacant as a starless night
This was never the plan
To watch as you cried
All because I couldn't stay alive

Bury me in the rain
Close my eyes, I'm too ashamed
Inside I know you can't see me here
I'm right beside you
I promise, I swear
I just wish you knew

This was never the plan
To watch while you cried
All because I couldn't stay alive.

This poem is so deep, a poem that has been written from a different perspective. Beautifully written.
