A Little Hope

The future is filled with uncertainty, 

and you are scared of facing your reality...

Will your luck be turned and happiness & love come your way?

Or will it be the same lonely road sending you away...

Will you come home to a room full of joy and care?

Or will it be a dark empty house with no one there...

Your tired feet don't know what's along the path

But you can't go back now and face your own wrath..

You keep wondering what lies in your fate

Blundering in your need for affection, you put yourself in a state.

How much longer can you tolerate each blow,

Healing is hard when always new wounds show..

You know that the world is constantly changing, and a day comes after every night

But it's still hard to believe that "today" brings better things for you with its light

There's no one you can trust or put your faith in,

But still you keep hoping, one day you'll surely win.

A partner, a confidant or a friend,

Someone who won't leave your side, even in the end.

Every time the glass shatters, you pray it'll be the last

So you try to put together, the pieces of your broken past..

Sometimes you end up bruising your hand,

And take a vow, that now, no more you will stand..

But each time the flame comes near, the candle has to melt,

for how long can you hide the emotions that you felt..

Maybe the answer is to wait and dream and hope

Until the clouds part again and a voice helps you cope

This voice may belong to an old ally, or even a stranger who keeps changing his mask

Or even right within your heart, you may find the answer for what you ask..

Hope is a powerful thing and will carry you a long way

Just believe in the little voice that will within you stay...
