My Jewel

My Jewel

A Poem by melanie j bean
"

Dedicated to my daughter who's name is "Jewel". I am so proud of her, she works diligently at the top of her class at high/est honor. She is beautiful, funny and plays an awsome flute, she's all I wished I could be when I was 12. God bless her!

"

My Jewel

I was God's willing vessel to bear the perfect life

so I brought her forth in painful laughter.

A delicate breath transformed into a love pure as light,

blessed is the seed that blossomed into my daughter.

Under the foggy blanket of preclampsia;

we were held prisoner for days within the cold sheets.

What a gift she was from the very beginning, hallelujah!

She had the perfect round head and sweet pink cheeks.

Heavy slumber hung over us for too long,

my maternal love for her was my perpetual fuel.

Today she is humble and brilliant, the perfect angelic song.

She is forever my heart and soul, my Jewel.

A lovely tribute to your beautiful daughter.

It takes time and energy to make the perfect jewel, and your poem shows your jewel was born from pain, fear, and more.

She is indeed "Your Jewel"

a lovely write.

She is lucky to have a mother like you. I am sure a day will come when she will hung this poem in her room and be as much proud of you as you are of her. Nice poem.
Keep up the good work!
