Nocturnal Nimbus

Nocturnal Nimbus

A Poem by Melaniespace
"

dealing with the ups and downs of the winter. the ups and downs of life.

"

Stratus clouds flood the horizon,

Shifting to nocturnal nimbus,

Crowning the inner supernatural self,

Content, karma appears,

Cumulous clouds clear the cracks, silence the crepitation,

What was gray will clear,

What was moist will condense,

Dwell in the dark of moon,

A good night’s rest will ease the ache,

Open the mind’s eye,

In due time the “I” will compromise.

It's all about cycles, from clouded to clear, moist to condense. Day to night.
Intriguing ending, the ego will compromise to death ? It can no longer deny mortality. It cannot keep up the illusion against reality of existence.

Great stuff.

This is a really good poem and captures the difficulty of getting through the winter months - funny how many of us dislike this cold dark time. I always look forward to the return of spring and longer days (as our winters provide only about 8-9 hours of daylight) And of course life always throws us it's ups and downs in the mix ;)
