Lost in the World

Lost in the World

A Poem by midnightsunshine
"

What is it like to feel truly lost?

"
They said hold your breath and count to ten,
It will take away the pain.
That seared,
Like daggers, cutting wounds that will never heal again.

A shroud of darkness envelops me
As the waterfalls cascade.
Time cannot heal all things,
For memories do not fade.

As ribs protrude and knees are weak,
Your entire being feels misplaced.
Every meal you refuse,
And the scars leave your body defaced.

But the darkness seems to recede,
Love and happiness impending.
But darkness was always lurking,
For there is no happy ending.

Awesome job on this one, I loved it, I truly did. "For there is no happy ending." So true, isn't it? That line kind of hit me hard, I really enjoyed this poem.

"Time cannot heal all things,
For memories do not fade."

They always say time can heal, and I always believe in that...because I want to be healed. But in every rule there is truly an exemption. In your case, you have broken that belief of many...because it's also true that memories do not fade...

Keep going.
