A Poem by Monday Parker

I keep checking for messages from him

But find no notifications waiting

I cant lie that I am not bummed out

I feel it in every ounce of me

With every part of my being

Shoulder slumped let down

After that emotional high

I cant believe he didn’t feel it to

The spark

The connection

After that kiss

We had sexual tension

Over powering me

He left leaving me in a

Trembling puddle

and then never called me again.
