My heart is broken
Never to mend
Never to love again

Bitterness and distrust
has broken the bond that held us

I am through,giving up
Leaving this love in the dust
Moving on to never again
Place my hand upon any man

"Bitterness and distrust

those were my favorites lines - the subtle rhyme to them sat really well in my mind.
