Kissed By the Dew

A rose in the garden kissed by the dew

Blooms in the sun and drinks in the rain too

Cut down for its beauty as thorns fight

Dawn's blissful creation of the morning light

Everlasting in the moment wilting in time

Fragrant perfume like a poem or rhyme

Gone are the petals; gone is the blush

Harmony of springtime, sings in whispered hush

I feel the soft petals against my cheek

Joy it brings to hearts each and every week

Kisses from lovers when roses are around

Love spings eteral when one single bloom is found

Mends broken hearts in moments of pain

Never retreats from the falling of rain

Opus played in the heart when its glory is seen

Praise to this delicate flower on stems so green

Queen of the garden, standing regal and proud

Robed in finery; adored by each fluffy cloud

Sadly petals fall to ground, leaving gloom

Tomorrow comes and buds burst into bloom

Uniting true love, blending two into one

Victorious the rose when kissed by the sun

Waking to see new buds in blooming glory

Xerophyllum tenax's white blooms tells the magnificent story

Yawning in the early morning dawn streaching towards the sun

Zesting for life, the rose blooms all summer long, until fall has begun

Overall, I liked your poem very much. The story was very good, and it is not an easy task to write in the ABC format. I appreciate the way you describe the moments in the story, but I felt the amount of description was almost too much. This caused some of your lines to be too long and disrupted the flow of the poem. I provided some examples below with suggestions, but I did like your poem very much overall.

Examples:
"Love spings eteral when one single bloom is found" could read "Love is eternal where a bloom is found"
"Zesting for life, the rose blooms all summer long, until fall has begun" could read "Zesting and blooming until fall has begun"

Thanks for your contribution to WritersCafe. Best of luck in the ABC contest.
