Cameo Blades of Grass

Cameo Blades of Grass

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Cameo Blades of Grass

I walk

In the daylight hours

Barefoot through soft blades of grass

Quietly

I dream the dreams of childhood days

Butterflies and lightning bugs

Singing

I'm guessing the syllable count to a cameo is 2-5-7-3-8-8-2. Anyway, I liked this (Like there's something I don't like from you). This brings me, not back, but in somewhere where I can actually feel and see and hear what you describe, and that is definitely valuable in writing. Superb.
