2016 (Year of the Phoenix)

Wrote this towards the end of 2016 and it just reflects how difficult the yer was for me and many others.

What can I say about 2016?
It was no fair fight.
Plain dirty.
Not clean.
I lost myself
then found myself
and realized who I am.
Now I'm trying to make sense of all
 I do not understand.
This year was a test.
hard not to get discouraged.
Took a lot of strength
 but somehow
 I found the courage.
To face my inner demons .
And now I comprehend
That they
Are not
A part of me.
Just fighting from within.
This year I faced the truth
This year I faced reality
This year I died.
And was reborn.
