EQUAL OPORTUNITY DESTROYER

EQUAL OPORTUNITY DESTROYER

A Poem by Souladareatease

An ardent mass licks

the edge beckoning

dripping in pools

as black mirrors stain.

The scry to get free

tepid hands turn cold.

They race patience

slowly biting fringes

of the cold steel care

hours of that dust

over there, in the corner.

Wall and fiber gleam

as the dust gathers

a fist upon the light

closes slowly

and death belongs

only

by thy own hand.

Growls are heard

through the floor

as a light begs

for no more

rattled that this

cannot is a have not

cage.

Sustenance

is lingering

so it is forgone.

Light dims

curls within itself

folded among kisses

Bliss of death

witching hour

I find paradise

was found, bleak

midday Sun hovered

upon a Husk.

Eclipsed forever

as a light moved on.
