taking the piss... also can be used to mean joking.. outwith to take liberties at the expense of others. or to be unreasonable. It is a shortening of the idiom taking the piss out of.

Sometimes a swear word

has a need to be said

when in extreme situation

you feel hard done by

upset or emotionally abused.

Then other times it crass and childish

and uncalled for.
