The Emotionless Tree

The Emotionless Tree

A Poem by Commander S.T

The weeping willow stands like me

The peircing wind sounds like me

I wonder if it cries with me

Around me is a sea full of tears

It grows and grows over the years

FALL

Salty seas filled with the colors of me

Winter

My heart freezes over with no time to thaw

Spring

Springtime flowers seem at ease

Summer

Summer

Don’t reach me please

Back to fall in this timeless bog

Sitting waiting patiently for my heart to start

Day by day my reflection changes

But this day there is none

 Benches hold up my pain

But the rain cries for me

Cloudy gray skies over a blackened soul

Heart full of pain

Fist full of tears

Brain filled with still thoughts

Can you hear me down there

Im crying with you but, the others around me just roam free

We started as a seed

And grew into this tree

Ageless moments await me

Shouldn’t I be the one crying?

What do you have to feel

You’re just a tree left here to wilt

The seasons’ keep changing

But the pain still remains

What if this tree fell

Would that end my pain

Reviews

I liked the way the poem started, dividing feelings with seasons and surroundings.

Then the piece took a turn. Going with the writing flow I imagine. A Weeping Willow, perhaps.
