kindling

kindling

A Poem by Periac

her voice is kindling
enriching the flames that burn unconditionally from my heart
each tonal chime a piercing cupids arrow
a burn inside
warm heated reds
I'll never employ coldness again

she shares my dreams as lavender does tulips
fragrant our gazes under sun and moon
we floated with sewn angels wings
mine of feather
yours of fauna
here we took turns
pissing on welcomed doubted rodents hunched in jealous furs

so when she is away the coals are not tended

when you would take away the sunlight from all of world and just give it to her sky

this is not selfishness

this is longing

Your emotional word defines a place in romantic history. Like all the others that came before in such longings, yours are forever seared on the pages of your words.
